Noel and Bronwyn Hechter, from Trinity Architects, designed this striking home in Elaleni’s Plantations development and partnered with SJC Projects to bring their vision to life. The result is a home that reflects both their professional creativity and our commitment to quality, transparency, and care.
Situated in one of Elaleni’s newest neighbourhoods, the home is only the second to be completed in the Plantations. Its design is striking in its simplicity, with bold black and white contrasts creating a modern edge while maintaining a sense of warmth and character. The layout embraces both functionality and lifestyle, with open-plan living that flows naturally into the outdoors. As Noel describes it, the space is “barn-like,” opening on both sides so the residents can enjoy different courtyards depending on the season and time of day. From the very beginning, the partnership was built on trust and understanding. “Building our home in Elaleni with SJC has been a truly positive experience. We are delighted with the exceptionally high quality of our home, and we particularly appreciate that the project was completed on time and within budget. Wayne’s expert guidance throughout the process was invaluable. We felt completely confident knowing he was overseeing every detail on site. We look forward to working with SJC again in the future.”
For Noel and Bronwyn, the process was about more than just bricks and mortar. There were no real challenges experienced throughout the build. The client was always available, and decision making was quick and uncomplicated, which enabled the build to be completed within six working months to the satisfaction of both the team and the client. Having the architect as the client meant the vision was always distinct and unwavering. It was, without a doubt, one of the easiest builds the team has completed to date.
